Meet the Founder & Artistic Director

Blue City International Artist Residency is founded and guided by Bhupat Dudi, a practising multidisciplinary visual artist based in Jodhpur. This artist-led foundation gives the residency a more authentic direction, because the space is shaped by lived artistic understanding rather than only hospitality or administrative planning.

As an artist working across visual and material practices and as a writer associated with art-related thought and discourse, he brings creative seriousness, conceptual depth and local cultural insight to the residency. His role helps ensure that resident artists are welcomed into a space that is built around artistic process, not merely stay arrangements.
